Loud and Clear at Pack Expo

CDI World USA’s design and production teams were thrilled that our client, Nordson, received prestigious recognition from their most recent exhibition, Pack Expo 2023 in Las Vegas.

For exhibitors, it makes sense to encourage the best possible user experience across all their exhibition booths. However, while outstanding quality can be hard to enforce, it can help to reward the best. Therefore, many exhibit organizers use a prestigious, proven methodology the measure booth quality: The E3 Exhibiting Effectiveness Evaluation™. The evaluation framework measures a booth’s success across 21 elements, which are split into three major criteria: exhibition presentation, product/ service presentation, and exhibit staff.

The Design for Pack Expo

As providers of adhesive dispensing equipment, Nordson had a lot to say at the Pack Expo. An abundance of products and services can prove a challenge to booth designers as it is easy for the message of “who we are” and “what we do” to get lost. Working closely with lead designer, Ryan Hooper of BendBox Design, the CDI World USA collaborated with the Nordson team to deliver a simplified approach with the priority of providing clearly marked product areas for their diverse product range. The result was an exceptional rental booth that optimized height through different level signage and used “doorways” to access different product areas, allowing for easy flow of clients throughout the peninsular booth whilst optimizing space.

The teamwork between client, designers and booth builders paid off, with their simplified design gaining recognition from E3 for “Smart Exhibit Access and Attendee Navigation”, leading to effective crowd management, effective and efficient wayfinding, and creative navigation methods.  The assessors particularly noted the booth’s wayfinding success via eye-level signage, which had a great visual impact while allowing clients to quickly navigate their way through a relatively complex plethora of products.

Having worked with Nordson for seven years, it is a pleasure for the team at CDI to see the collaboration flourish, bringing great results and influencing global messaging for our client and, most importantly, optimizing attendee experience.
