Kong Meng San Phor Kark See monastery is one of the most renowned Buddhist temples in Singapore. The challenge was to enhance and shade a busy walkway leading to the halls. Our solution was a curved canopy trellis in weatherproof stainless steel which we secured to the existing parapet. The planting had to withstand the heat of metal exposed to the noon sun and the client preferred flowers. Our horticulturalist recommended Blue Trumpet Vine (Thunbergia grandiflora) which made the perfect choice.
